Following their successful tour of 'Mystery, Mummers, Misrule and a Wren-perceptions of a Tudor Christmas'. JFCreative presents a new touring show. Sweetbriar: The Ballad of Agnes Turner, a theatrical performed-reading by four actors.

This story follows the life of Agnes, a wise woman living in a village in rural England. We watch her skill in preparing herbal remedies, her role as a midwife, healer, nature's weather eve and innocent, share her gentle spirituality and the dramatic events that haunt her. We are present when she is arrested as a witch and follow the events thereafter.

This show is dedicated to the 200,000 women across Europe and the British Isles, murdered in the witch hunt of the 16th/17th centuries - and its relevance today.
